Hey, I’m Charissa,
Let’s get to know each other
Give me mountains that breathe, forests that whisper, rivers that don’t ask for permission. That’s where I learned to see. That’s where I learned to feel. Hey, I’m Charissa, a self-taught photographer, professional light-chaser, and forever in pursuit of moments that feel like magic.
I believe humans belong to nature just as much as the cliffs and the sea. We carry storms behind our eyes. We hold sunlight in our smiles. We are landscapes, too.
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
— John Muir
The Soul of the Landscape
Echoes of Green began with a simple feeling, the quiet awe that comes from standing in a landscape that feels bigger than yourself. Landscapes have a way of slowing time. A field stretching into the distance, cows grazing quietly in afternoon light, mountains standing still after centuries, or the ocean breathing in steady rhythm along the shore. These Moments are alive in a way that words often can't describe. They hold a kind of quiet presence, the life of the earth unfolding exactly as it should. Photography allows me to hold onto those moments. A single frame can capture the way the light touches the land, the calm of an open field, or the feeling of standing somewhere where nature feels untouched and timeless. In that instant, time pauses, and the landscape reveals its character.
Echoes of Green is a refection of those moments. Each photograph is an echo of a place where nature spoke softly but powerfully, a reminder of the beauty, stillness, and life that exists all around us.
